Werner Neff - The Author

Werner Neff earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the Freie Universität Berlin and his master’s degree in economics from the Universität St. Gallen. He retired from a leadership position at a large Swiss bank.

Deeply committed to democracy, political science, and economics, Neff has devoted his retirement to researching the origins, principles, and values of democratic government. He examines how the erosion of political values has shaped the American social economy and contributed to the growing divide between the wealthy and working people.

Werner Neff is the author of THE FOUNDERS’ WARNING, RESTORE TRUST, and RESTORE OUR DEMOCRACY as well as RECLAIM AMERICAN DEMOCRACY. He writes and speaks about American democracy for general audiences, focusing on how U.S. government institutions actually work beyond partisan narratives. Drawing on historically grounded dialogue and economic facts, his work explores questions of power, legitimacy, and civic duties in today’s America. His view is non-partisan by design, aiming to foster understanding, reflection, and civic literacy rather than political persuasion.
